Sometimes　we　actually　wake　up　and　take　one　giant　leap　for　mankind。　Then　we　plummet3　back　to　earth；　lick4　our　wounds；　and　convince　ourselves　that　it　is　not　feasible　and　promptly　go　back　to　sleep。　Sometimes　we　give　it　a　second　or　third　shot；　before　we　say　goodbye　and　return　to　Status　Quo　Avenue。　Well；　we　gave　our　best　shot。。。

The　only　way　our　dreams　can　e　true　is　when　we　start　doing　something　about　it。　Start　with　a　baby　step；　one　tiny　step　after　another。　With　time；　you　will　be　amazed　by　how　far　you　had　gone。　The　more　steps　you　take　in　the　direction　of　your　dreams；　the　bolder　you　bee。　Soon　you　start　seeing　shafts　of　light　at　the　end　of　the　tunnel。　The　closer　you　get；　the　more　feasible5　it　bees。　Gradually；　your　fears　begin　to　ebb6　away。　Taking　the　first　step　is　a　scary　business。　You　can　determine　the　magnitude　and　direction　of　that　first　step。　Some　folks　take　the　bull　by　the　horn；　quit　their　day　jobs；　and　go　for　it。　Others　keep　their　day　jobs；　and　moonlight　at　sun　down；　till　they　get　to　the　point　they　can　fortably　fire　their　boss。　For　others　still；　it　means　a　change　of　career。

Whichever　route　you　take　to　the　land　of　your　dreams；　the　starting　point　is　waking　up；　and　doing　something。　Then　keep　on　keeping　on。　It　is　only　a　matter　of　time。　You　will　get　there。

我們的勇氣並非生來就有，恐懼也是如此。有些恐懼可能是來源於你自身的經歷、他人的講述或從書上讀到的東西。像半夜兩點獨自走在城中的危險地段，這樣的一些恐懼是可以理解的。但只要你學會避免這些情況，就不必再惶恐地生活。

即使是最基本的恐懼，也會讓我們的雄心壯志徹底粉碎。我們的財富與情感皆會被恐懼所摧毀。如果不加以節制，它也會毀掉我們的生活。恐懼是蟄伏於我們內心的眾多敵人之一。

讓我跟你說一說我們面臨的其他五個內在敵人。第一個敵人是冷漠，在它襲擊之前，你必須先下手為強，否則打著呵欠懶洋洋地說：“啊哈，就這樣吧，我就隨波逐流吧。”這是多麼可悲的弊病！你永遠無法漂至山頂，這就是隨波逐流的問題所在。

猶豫不決是我們面臨的第二個敵人。它是一個竊賊，會偷去你的機會和事業。它會偷走你獲得美好未來的機會。舉起你的劍，同這個敵人決鬥吧。
